My Story

For the beginning of my life I was raised in Arizona. I was born in Phoenix. In the beginning it was just my mom and I until she met a handsome man in church one day who soon adopted me becoming my daddy. Four years later Joy was born and I had a little sister. In 1997, God called us to move to India as missionaries. In was amazing time, at fourteen I was in a Indian school of 1500 Indian girls and I was the only American. I used my popularity to share God's love and spread the gospel. In 1999 our supporting church began to fear for our safety because of missionaries getting killed near us. A church in the UK that ministered to the military called us to apply for the pastor position and we were accepted. I lived there for three years and in 2002 I applied for a discipleship training school with YWAM Mercy Ships. For three months I lived with 34 other people as we studied God's word. It was an amazing time for me, I began to truly have a more deeper relationship with Jesus. We were with the Africa Mercy Ship. The ship was in the port of Newcastle, England. The wasn't livable yet so we stayed in bed and breakfasts and we helped fix it up once a week. I did rust busting! Also we served in the community once a week. Once the training was finished we headed to Africa for two month! The first month we ministered to the crew of the Anastasis Mercy Ship in Togo, Africa. My job was to work in the kitchen, the hottest place on the ship! Not air conditioned, 15 ovens, 200 lbs of onions to cut and I loved every minute of it. The second month we went to Ghana, Africa. There we did village missions, preached at local churches and worked with kids. Throughout my time with YWAM God called me to do full time ministry. I decided to go to bible college to prepare to be a counselor. The first year I went to Pensacola Christian College. I transferred to a small bible college called Trinity College of Florida. There I met my husband who at the time was the registrar and we were married in 2005. In 2008 I graduated and became a mother! May 3, 2008 I graduated with a degree in counseling and May 7th, I had Josiah 8.6oz.
